Apple had a competition where whoever downloaded the 25 billionth app would get $10,000 gift card. My classes goal was to find out when to start downloading so we could win. We started Friday February 24th, 6:27 pm. The downloads were at 24,658,507,655. We measured how many downloads between 6:27-6:30.  I took the number of downloads and subtracted the downloads of 6:28 from the downloads of 6:27, 6:29 from 6:28, and 6:30 from 6:29. I took the 3 numbers i got and divided them by 3 which got me 34211. I multiplied the by 60 and got 2052660 which is one hour. Then I multiplied that number by 24 and got 49,215,840. Then i took 6:27 and subtracted it from 25 billion and got 341,492,345. Then I divided it by 49, 215,840 by 341,492,345 and got 6.9 days. So the contest would have ended on March 2nd at 9:00 pm.
